The Weeknd has revealed the second trailer for his imminent Hurry Up Tomorrow film, a little over a month ahead of its global premiere. Starring Abel Tesfaye himself alongside Jenna Ortega and Barry Keoghan, the psychological thriller film acts as counterpart to The Weeknd’s sixth studio album of the same name.

The new trailer for the Trey Edward Shults-directed film opens with Ortega setting a house on fire. A song by The Weeknd builds in the background as Tesfaye’s character asks Ortega’s: “Have we met before?”

After an ominous yet aesthetically alluring montage, the downward spiral of Tesfaye’s main character appears on the horizon.

“I know this was all really intense but I’m not trying to hurt you,” Ortega assures him. “You were hurting yourself and you were hurting everyone around you. Something has to change.”

The film debuts just after The Weeknd begins his After Hours Til Dawn Tour on May 9 with assistance from recent collaborators Playboi Carti and Mike Dean.

Stream the second Hurry Up Tomorrow trailer above and catch the film in theaters next month on May 16.
