The LEGO Group is back with a new announcement, unveiling another set from the LEGO Ideas line. It most recently unveiled a Disney Pixar Luxo Jr. set, paying homage to the iconic desk lamp with a fully articulated build.

Now, the fan-designed program is back with a new concept: introducing the LEGO Ideas Minifigure Vending Machine set. Constructed of 1,343 pieces, the kit is packed with vintage flair. You can insert a LEGO coin into the buildable machine and turn its handle to dispense one of 16 capsules that come with bricks to build a minifigure. The 16 included minifigures are retro-inspired too, revisiting throwback themes like Castle and Classic Space. An extra-special figure sees a man in a red flannel — Rob Vangansewinkel — the fan who submitted this design to the LEGO Ideas program and ultimately had it approved.

LEGO Insiders will have the first opportunity to buy this new LEGO Ideas Minifigure Vending Machine set with early access beginning on June 1. From there, a wider launch is scheduled to take place on June 4 at a price of $180 USD.
