Japanese audio brand km5 has expanded its offerings with a whole new product: the Lightwear Headphones Hp1. Developed to complement the brand’s breakout product – the Instant Disk Audio Cp1 CD players, it offers a fresh option for music enthusiasts seeking a lightweight, fully wireless on-ear design.

Balancing comfort and utility, the headphones bridge the gap between in-ear and over-the-ear headphones while weighing just 103 grams. Users can enjoy both wireless Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity and a wired connection using independent LR technology. With its 40mm drivers, the headphones deliver high-quality audio, ensuring a powerful and wide range of sound, from low to high frequencies.

Its design integrates retro elements with modern functionality, making the product both visually appealing and technologically advanced. Equipped with features like noise cancellation, transparent mode and up to 24 hours of playback, the Hp1 provides a seamless audio experience for various daily scenarios. Intuitive controls are built into the design, allowing users to manage power, volume, playback and voice assistant access directly from the device.

The headphones include magnetic, easily replaceable ear cushions in diverse colors for personalization. It comes in two main color variants, black and white, offering further styling options to suit individual preferences. In collaboration with bPr BEAMS, the Lightwear Headphones Hp1 are currently available for a pre-sale via km5 and BEAMS with a price point of ¥22,000 JPY (approx. $153 USD).
